How to add an image to a PDF
- Choose your PDF. Pick the file with the button above or drag it onto the box.
- Choose an image. Pick a JPG or PNG. PNGs with transparent backgrounds look best for logos and stamps.
- Place it. Go to a page, select “Add image to this page”, then drag it into position and adjust the size. Repeat on other pages if you like.
- Save and download. Select “Save PDF” to download your updated file.
Tips for placing images
- Logos on every page? Add the image to each page — it keeps the same size each time.
- Transparent backgrounds. Use a PNG with transparency so the image blends into the page.
- Phone photos. Photos are turned the right way up automatically before they're added.
- Keep it sharp. Very large photos are scaled down to a sensible size so the PDF doesn't balloon.
Your files stay on your device
Like every FoxletPDF tool, this one runs inside your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed with open-source PDF libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js), and handed straight back to you as a download. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored. See our privacy policy for details.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image and PDF are combined in your browser; neither leaves your device.
Which image formats work?
JPG and PNG. PNG transparency is kept.
Can I add the image to several pages?
Yes. Go to each page and select “Add image to this page”.
Will the image cover text?
It's drawn on top of the page, so place it where it won't hide anything important.
Can I add a signature this way?
Yes, but Sign PDF lets you draw or type a signature directly.
