Privacy policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This policy explains what information FoxletPDF (https://foxletpdf.com) handles and why. FoxletPDF is operated by MetaFox Softwares. The short version: most tools never upload your files. A few tools that need our server are clearly marked, and they delete your file as soon as you download the result.
Browser tools
Most FoxletPDF tools run inside your web browser. When you choose a PDF, your browser reads it from your device and processes it locally. The result is created in your browser and saved straight to your device.
- We do not upload your files to any server.
- We do not log, store, copy or look at your files, their names or their contents.
- When you close or reload the page, the files are gone from the page’s memory.
You can confirm this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and use any tool. You will see the page’s own code and assets load, but none of your file data being sent.
Server tools
Some jobs need software that can’t run in a browser, such as OCR, Office conversions, compression and web page capture. These tools are labelled “Uses FoxletPDF server” on the homepage and on the tool page. When you use one:
- Your file (or, for Web Page to PDF, the address you enter) is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our own server, which is operated by MetaFox Softwares.
- It is processed with open-source software running on that server. No outside AI, OCR or conversion service receives your file.
- Files are kept only in temporary memory. The original is deleted as soon as processing ends, and the result is deleted as soon as you download it, or after 15 minutes if you don’t. Restarting the server also deletes everything.
- We do not log file names, file contents, passwords you enter or web addresses. Server logs contain only technical details such as the tool used, the time, how long the job took and the result size.
- To prevent abuse, the server counts how many jobs come from each IP address (per minute, and per day for OCR, data extraction and summaries). These counters are kept in memory only and reset when the server restarts. The OCR service receives a one-way hashed identifier rather than your IP address.
No accounts
FoxletPDF has no signup, login or paid plan, so we do not collect names, passwords or payment details.
Website logs
Like any website, the service that hosts FoxletPDF may keep standard technical logs of page requests (for example IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs never include your files or their contents.
Advertising and cookies
FoxletPDF does not currently show ads, and it does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We plan to keep FoxletPDF free by showing a small number of ads in future, starting with Google AdSense.
Before any ads appear, we will update this policy to explain which cookies they use and how to opt out, and where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) we will ask for your consent first. Ad code will never have access to your files.
Children
FoxletPDF is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how FoxletPDF handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
