How to remove blank pages
- Choose your PDF. Pick the scanned file with the button above or drag it onto the box.
- Let FoxletPDF look. Every page is checked for how much of it has ink on it. Pages that are nearly white are marked.
- Review. Look through the marked pages, change the sensitivity, and tick or untick pages as needed.
- Remove and download. Select “Remove pages” and save the cleaned-up PDF.
Tips for blank page detection
- Scanner shadows. Dark edges from the scanner lid are ignored, so blank pages with shadows are still found.
- Faint pages. Pages with just a page number or a few marks may need “Also nearly-empty pages”.
- Always review. A page with a single short line can look almost blank — check before you remove it.
- Double-sided scans. Combine fronts and backs with Alternate & Mix first, then remove the blanks.
Your files stay on your device
Like every FoxletPDF tool, this one runs inside your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed with open-source PDF libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js), and handed straight back to you as a download. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored. See our privacy policy for details.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Pages are checked and removed in your browser; your file never leaves your device.
How does FoxletPDF decide a page is blank?
It draws a small copy of each page and measures how much of it is darker than paper, ignoring the edges where scanners leave shadows.
Can I keep a page it marked?
Yes. Untick any page before you remove them.
Does it work on digital PDFs?
Yes, though blank pages are most common in scans.
Will quality change?
No. The pages you keep are copied exactly as they were.
